Egg Laying Capacity of Metagonimus yokogawai

Abstract
Metacercariae of Metagonimus yokogawai were infected to dog, and the growth, eggs in uterus and egg laying capacity (E.P.D./worm) were examined from 7th day to 4th month after the infection.
1. The worm increased the size up to 4 months.
2. Eggs in uterus increased gradually by time elapse; 54 in one week and 681 in 120 days.
3. The ratio between matured and immatured eggs in 7th day was 33:67, but gradually reversed reaching to 62:38 in 120th day.
4. The worm matured sexually in 7th days of the infection and egg out-put was observed in 10th day.
5. Daily egg out-put (E.P.D./worm) was estimated 35-45.
