Normal TSH levels in Neonates by TSH screening Test

Abstract

|
|
TSH blood levels for congenital hypothyroidism were measured by TSH screening test (Gamma-BCT Neo-TSH IRMA) in 500 term neonates without perinatal problems born at Seoul Eul Ji General Hospital.
@ES The results are as follows:
@EN 1) Normal TSH levels of the newborn were 8.28±5.22μU/ml(0-24hours), 7.24±3.85μU/ml(24-48hours), 5.95±4.33μU/ml(48-72hours), 3.36±3.51μU/ml(day 4), 3.80±3.13μU/ml(day 5), 5.02±3.50μU/ml(day 6), 4.01±2.48μU/ml(day 7),
3.98±2.59μU/ml(day 8) and 3.54±3.01μU/ml(day 9). And the most highest level within 72 hours after birth was 23.64μU/ml, and 16.61μU/ml after 72 hours.
