Triterpenoids from Orostachys japonicus

Abstract

|
|
Triterpenoids were isolated from the whole plant of Orostachys japonicus (Crassulaceae) by repeated column chromatography. Their structures were identified as friedelin (1), glutinol (2), β-sitosterol (3), friedelinol (4), 5α,8α-peroxyergosterol (5), β-sitostenone 6) and glutinone (7) by spectral analysis. Among them, compounds 5 and 6 were isolated for the first time from this plant.
