Abstract

|
This study was to examine the relationship between activity participation and life satisfaction among high functioning elderly to draw some practical implications for retirement education programs. The analysis was based upon data from the MacArthur Study of Successful Aging. The findings showed that neither activity participation nor its interaction with employment was related to life satisfaction whether the type of activity was formal or informal. The consistency of activity participation might be related to life satisfaction.
