We determined photosynthetic parameters to microclimatic change of ginger with a short-term in a controlled-environment chamber within which individual leaves were enclosed in a cuvette. In relationship between stomatal conductance for CO©ü(g_(sc)) and transpiration (t_r), g_(sc) increased rapidly as irradiance increased from zero, and saturated at relatively low values of light intensity (400 ¥ì§ß¡¤m^(-2)¡¤s^(-1)). Under series of leaf temperature, g_(sc) showed peaked response to 29¡É, but t_r increased with the increased irradiance and temperature. Increasing external CO©ü concentrations caused g_(sc) and t_r to decrease, and also g_(sc) was relatively insensitive to increasing soil moisture availability until a threshold was reached (0.5-2.0 g¡¤g^(-1)), whereupon in 2.0-3.5g¡¤g^(-1) regime, g_(sc) increase approximately linearly with increasing transpiration. Fluorescence parameter Fv/Fm of electron transfer in PS II decreased sharply with increasing photon flux density (PFD) on regime from 100 to 600 ¥ì§ß¡¤m^(-2)¡¤s^(-1) with step of 100 ¥ì§ß¡¤m^(-2)¡¤s^(-1). After exposure to increasing leaf temperature, its value was high at above 25¡É. Fv/Fm was maximally induced between 25¡É and 37¡É, in compared with the low temperature (15¡É). These results suggested that temperature and soil water content are one of determining factors during growth period.
