Abstract

|
Low back pain is one of the most common symptoms causing limitation of activity. Although a large variety of treatment is available, there is no known specific effective treatment and significant number of cases progress to chronic low back pain which is hard to manage. Comprehensive rehabilitation program through a multidisciplinary approach including rest, patient education, exercise, physical therapy, medication, psychosocial care is the cornerstone of chronic low back pain management. In this concept, Back school is very effective tool for low back pain management, not only for the patient education but also for developing self confidence which gives individual responsibility for managing and adjusting to back problems.
