The Physical Examination of Knee Joint
Lee Yang-Gyun

Abstract
The foundation of diagnosis of knee joint disease and injury lies in combining knowledge of anatomy and biomechanics with clinical correlates such as history, physical examination, tests, and their interpretation. There has been an explosion of new information in the past decade concerning the dynamic and static stabilizers of knee joint motion and how they correlate to clinical diagnosis, treatment plan, and treatment outcomes. This knowledge, combined with the clinical correlates of history, physical examination, and select clinical tests, gives the clinician an approach to the knee joint disease and injury.
