A Survey of the Major Satisfaction and College Adjustment of College Students Majoring in Occupational Therapy on Covid-19

Abstract
Objective: The purpose of this study is to investigate the satisfaction of college students with their major and their adjustment to school life to determine the relationships among these factors.

Method: A total of 241 college students who will be majoring in occupational therapy in the capital area were used as the subjects and were given a survey. An analysis was conducted to frequency analysis, t-test, ANOVA, chi-squared test between the general characteristics of the major satisfaction and college adjustment.

Results: The score for major satisfaction was 3.54, 3.28 for college adjustment. The major satisfaction was statistically related to the reasons for choice the major and the college, preferred class; college adjustment was statistically related to experience related to major, reasons for choice the major and the college, preferred class. Also, we found that major satisfaction of students was enrolled after Covid-19 was statistically higher than before Covid-19.

Conclusion: In order to help students majoring in occupational therapy be settled in their major satisfaction and college adjustment, multidimensional approaches such as program development promoting instructional method for them, and supports such as enviromental improvement should be searched.
