Abstract

|
Merkel cell carcinoma is a skin disease that rarely involves the spine. The common presentation of spinal involvement is quite confusing and may be easily misdiagnosed. However, once it spreads, the disease progresses rapidly, with an extremely poor outcome. We report on the case of a 30-year-old male with cervical spinal metastasis of Merkel cell car- cinoma causing quadriparesis.
