Rapid Progression of Metastatic Clear Cell Carcinoma in Thoracic Spine: A Case Report

Abstract

|
Metastatic spinal cord compression is one of the most dreaded complications of metastatic cancer. This type of compression can lead to pain, neurological deficits and a reduction in the patient¡¯s quality of life. A case of rapid progression and exten- sion of a metastatic epidural mass from clear cell adenocarcinoma of the kidney in a short period after surgical decompre- ssion is reported, along with a literature review.
