In 2011, the Global Initiative for Chronic Obstructive Lung Disease (GOLD) revised the consensus report, which emphasized the importance of combined assessment for COPD patients in addition to spirometry classification. The Korean Association of Tuberculosis and Respiratory Disease released COPD treatment guideline in 2005 and revised in 2012. In this article, we described the similarity and difference of the Korean COPD guideline and GOLD consensus report.
