Abstract

Lung transplantation is an established therapy for a range of end-stage pulmonary disease. Long-term outcomes, however, remains limited primarily because of the onset of bronchiolitis obliterans syndrome (BOS), which is characterized by irreversible progressive airflow limitation. This article reviews current knowledge of the pathogenesis,
incidence, diagnosis, risk factor of BOS and outlines the current practice in the treatment of this serious complication.
