Abstract

Since the first Zika virus patient has been detected, a total of five travel-related cases were reported. Among those, 4 were males (Brazil, Philippines) and 1 was female (Viet Nam) and they all recalled that they had mosquito bites while staying in those countries. Four of them developed Zika virus-associated symptoms, even though, one person did not report any symptoms and was identified by the diagnostic test provided to those who travelled together. Signs and symptoms included subjective fever, myalgia or arthralgia followed by maculopapular rash, which appeared in all cases.
