The purpose of this study was to assess how mothers¡¯ oral health behaviour, socio-demographic characteristics, and oral health beliefs influence on the oral health behaviour of their children. Data were collected self-administrated questionaire on their mothers. The 110 children and their mothers were selected for this study. The children were 5 or 6 years old in the 3 daycare centers in Ulsan, Korea. The data were analyzed by a descriptive analyses, þõÉÖ -test, Pearson Correlation and
logistic regressing analysis. Significant difference was detected for childrens¡¯ toothbrushing frequency according to mothers¡¯ toothbrushing frequency and monthly mean income. There was significant relationship between childrens¡¯ toothbrushing frequency and mothers¡¯ oral health beliefs(salience, barrier). The multiple logistic regressing analysis illustrated that income and toothbrushing frequency(3-5) was independently associated with the childrens¡¯ toothbrushing frequency.
