The Effect of Psychodrama on the Interpersonal Relations, Self-esteem and Anxiety of Self-Support Agency Women

Abstract

|
Objectives: This study aims to do self-healing and self-growth though the psychodrama for nursing helpers who work at Self-Support Agency. This objectives are promotion of the interpersonal relationship, self-esteem and reduction of the anxiety.
Methods: Study design is quasi-experimental design with experiment group pre-post design. Study participants are 8 nursing helpers at Self-Support Agency. This program was progressed twice a week for 12 sessions between October 15th and December 5th, 2006. The data were analyzed by SPSS 12.0 for Windows. Quantitative analysis was wilcoxon signed-rank test and qualitative analysis was Focus group contents analysis.
Results: The interpersonal relationship and self-esteem did not promote statistically significant. But anxiety was reduced statistically significant(p<.01). Contents analysis of essay of participants was follows; , , , , , and .
Conclusion: The effect of psychodrama is statistically significant reduced anxiety. But It did not promoted interpersonal relationship and self-esteem. Contents analysis of essay was to love themselves, gains self-confidence and the mind of thanks, and opens a mind. So there is possibility of seeing affirmatively about life of lower income job women with psychodrama.
