Abstract

|
Ultrasound is a frequency of sound which is not audible to human ear. It has been used for medical purpose since the mid-20th century. Ultrasound can be used as therapeutic tools such as high intensity focused therapy, target therapy and surgical instruments. As surgeons posess the anatomical knowledge and surgical skill, they can easily perform ultrasound examinations. Especially ultrasound examinations by surgeon could be an aid for better surgical results. As the utilization of ultrasound is being expanded, surgeons should study and try to develop ultrasound technology for the benefits of patients.
