Ultrasonographic Finding of Breast and Thyroid Disorders Requiring Differential Diagnosis
Lee Jeong-Hui

Jung Pa-Jong
Abstract
Ultrasonography can play a major role in diagnosis and treatment in the breast and thyroid clinic. The sonographic findings of breast and thyroid disorders occasionally require a differential diagnosis. The radiologic features of breast lesions, including complex cyst, inflammation, postoperative change and mixed thyroid nodule, subacute thyroiditis, and Hashimoto¡¯s thyroiditis often mimic those of malignancy. For clinicians deciding on appropriate treatment of each disorder, accurate knowledge of the sonographic findings, thorough examination, and further evaluation is required for a differential diagnosis.
