Abstract

|
Ultrasonography can play a major role in diagnosis and treatment in the breast and thyroid clinic. The sonographic findings of breast and thyroid disorders occasionally require a differential diagnosis. The radiologic features of breast lesions, including complex cyst, inflammation, postoperative change and mixed thyroid nodule, subacute thyroiditis, and Hashimoto’s thyroiditis often mimic those of malignancy. For clinicians deciding on appropriate treatment of each disorder, accurate knowledge of the sonographic findings, thorough examination, and further evaluation is required for a differential diagnosis.
