Two Cases of Cervical Lymphadenitis by Toxoplasma
Paik Seung-Chan

Jeong Myeong-Ja
Abstract
Toxoplasmosis is a parasitic disease caused by Toxoplasma gondii. Acute toxoplasmosis is usually asymptomatic in immunocompetent hosts, but some people suffer from influenza-like symptoms, fever, headache, and fatigue. The most common manifestation of toxoplasmosis in immunocompetent hosts is cervical lymphadenitis. The typical histology findings of toxoplasma lymphadenitis are found by a core needle biopsy. This paper reports two cases of toxoplasma lymphadenitis with a review of the clinical features, diagnostic method, and treatment of toxoplasmosis.
