Abstract

Energy generating equipment is an essential equipment for surgical operations. These devices generate surgical smoke when used as equipment such as electrosurgical units, laser, ultrasonic devices, and drills, during surgical procedures has long been thought to be hazardous to hospital personnel. Recently, it has become an issue that the risk of surgical postponement can affect the health of patients and medical staff. Therefore, through literature review, we would like to examine measures to create a safe operating room by protecting patients and medical staff in the event of harmful smoke during surgery.
