Abstract
Hereditary motor and sensory neuropathy is a common form of inherited motor and sensory neuropathy, and is a geneticallyheterogeneous group of disorders of the peripheral nervous system. Typical clinical presentation is progressive weakness ofdistal extremity and atrophy of muscles innervated by the peroneal nerve and sensory loss leading to significant clinicalmorbidity. A male patient complained of numbness and decreased sensory response of both feet during treatment for ankylosingspondylitis. He was diagnosed with HMSN by electromyography, family history, and typical symptoms of HMSN.We report on a case of AS accompanied by HMSN with a review of the literatures.
