Ankle Syndesmotic Injury
Lee Jun-Young

Pak Chi-Hyoung
Abstract
The prevalence of ankle syndesmotic injuries is estimated as 1% to 18% of all ankle sprains. However, detection and treatment of these injuries is more challenging and optimal fixation of syndesmotic injuries remains controversial. Regardless of controversy, the key to treatment of syndesmosis injuries is to make the correct initial diagnosis and initiate treatment for reducing the fibula anatomically in the incisura fibularis.
