Abstract

Gonadotropin-releasing hormone analogues are the treatment of choice for idiopathic central precocious puberty. Few reports of drug hypersensitivity reactions due to this treatment are reported in the current literature, mostly after repeated exposure to the medicine. As the prevalence of central precocious puberty has increased significantly in children in Korea, we believe that we need to be careful about the side effects of this medicine. In particular, it is necessary to know exactly about anaphylaxis among immediate drug hypersensitivity reactions and treat it immediately. We report a case of drug hypersensitivity reaction caused by the first administration of GnRH agonist, leuprorelin acetate in a patient with central precocious puberty.
