Response Characteristics on the BGT-2(Bender Gestalt Test) Between Typical Infants and Infants with Developmental Disabilities

Abstract

|
The purpose of this study was to investigate the difference in response to BGT-2 between typical infants and infants with developmental disabilities. Specific research questions are as follows: First, is there any difference in BGT-2 developmental indicators? Second, is there any difference in the BGT-2 emotional indicators? Third, is there any difference in BGT-2 morphology? The subjects were 23 infants with developmental disabilities and 57 typical infants with a total of 80 infants. The age of infants was 4 to 6 years old. In order to verify the results of the study, t - test and ??- test were used, and the characteristics of BGT graph simulation based on emotional indicators were described. The results of this study are as follows: First, there were difference according to the total score of developmental indicators of typical infants and infants with developmental disabilities, and there was also difference in BGT-2 score by shape. Second, there was a difference in total score of emotional indicators between typical infants and infants with developmental disabilities, and there were differences according to number of emotional indicators. Third, there was a difference in BGT-2 response according to emotional indicators of typical infants and infants with developmental disabilities. Disorganization of figure layout, increasing size, weak line, repetition, and elaboration (addition) were similar in typical infants and infants with developmental disabilities.
