Skeletal Class III malocclusion, especially those originating from deficiency of maxillary development, is usually treated with early protraction of the maxilla in growing children. To reduce dentoalveolar side effects, there have been efforts to accompany the skeletal anchorage to the maxillary protraction such as miniscrew-assisted rapid palatal expansion (MARPE). This case report shows maxillary protraction treatment in growing skeletal Class III malocclusion patient with insufficient eruption space with MARPE. A 9-year-old female patient had skeletal Class III malocclusion, anterior edge-to-edge bite and maxillary arch length deficiency. MARPE was placed for maxillary protraction, and later, it was also used to regain the space for the alignment of the maxillary permanent tooth. After 28-month of treatment including 7-month of maxillary protraction, intermaxillary relationship was improved and maxillary permanent tooth alignment was completed.
