|
This paper describes survival analysis methods and shows how the methods can be applied to analyses of ophthalmologic data using the open source statistical program R. The R codes are presented in the Appendix. We discuss some papers published in the ophthalmology area that used survival analysis methods. We hope that researchers interested in applying survival analysis to studies of ophthalmology develop easier to understand survival analysis methods and be able to apply the appropriate methods for their research purposes.
