Abstract

Purpose: To describe the first case of ocular relapse of primary testicular B-cell lymphoma in a South Korean male.
Case summary: A 60-year-old man with a history of left testicular diffuse large B-cell lymphoma diagnosed four years prior to this presentation complained of decreased vision in his right eye for the past two months despite treatment for uveitis. He had a history of brain relapse of diffuse large B-cell lymphoma two years prior and had been in secondary complete remission for two years. Ophthalmologic examination revealed uveitis with a pseudohypopyon and a mass-like lesion on the iris. Incisional biopsy of the iris mass revealed diffuse large B-cell lymphoma. A systemic work up showed no evidence of lymphoma relapse elsewhere, and additional systemic chemotherapy was planned.
Conclusions: This case is the first report of ocular involvement of testicular diffuse large B-cell lymphoma in South Korea. Clinicians should be aware of ocular relapse in patients with a history of testicular lymphoma who complain of eye symptoms.
