Abstract
Early gastric cancer has an excellent prognosis in patients who had curative resection. The 5-year survival rate is at least 90% and the recurrence rate is under 5% in most reports. However, distant metastases are rare but exist. The gastric cancer recurs mainly at the peritoneum, liver, or lymph nodes. Bone metastases are infrequent in gastric cancer, especially in early gastric cancer. We report here a rare case of early gastric cancer, confined to mucosa without lymph node metastasis, with multiple bone metastases.
