The aim of our current study is to investigate the analgesic and anti-inflammatory potentials of methanolic extract of Mallotus repandus stem (MSM) using different in vivo assay models. Analgesic and anti-inflammatory activities were evaluated using acetic acid induced writhing test, tail immersion method, hot-plate test, formalin induced hind paw licking, xylene induced ear edema, carrageenan-induced paw edema and cotton pellet induced granuloma in animal model at doses of 500, 1000 and 2000 mg/kg body weight.
