Abstract

|
Gastric schwannomas are rare mesenchymal tumors that likely arise from Schwann cells of the neural plexus which are submucosal in origin. However, when the tumor grows exophytically from the gastric wall, it is difficult from peritoneal seeding of ovary cancer. We present a 68-year-old woman with a simultaneous gastric schwannoma and ovarian cancer mimicking metastasis from the ovary.
