Abstract
The first survey on the practice of research integrity in Korean biomedical research community was conducted. An electronic survey was used to gauge current practice in bioethics by Korean biomedical researchers that include medical doctors professors of biomedicine, research technicians, graduate school students and so forth. The result shows that significant number of biomedical researchers is practicing improper authorship. 10% said that they have an experience of manipulating research data. Education on bioethics mostly took place at work after students graduate from higher education. Lack of systematic education on bioethics and professional standards of research integrity is believed to foster current practice.
