|
Purpose : This study analyzes North Korea's smoke-free policy through the country's anti-smoking law and examines its effectiveness among North Korean workers.
Methods: We conducted an exploratory study due to a lack of relevant prior research, and mainly cited related papers, books, news and articles from domestic and foreign media.
Results: North Korea's smoke-free policy is not effective enough for North Korean workers, and additional efforts are needed on several aspects.
Conclusion: In order for North Korea's anti-smoking law and smoke-free policy to have a successful impact on North Korean workers, realistic efforts at the legal, industrial, and socio-cultural levels are needed, and ongoing monitoring and research are required.
