A Study was planned to see if the administration of Sipjondaebo-Tang extract has any influence upon the growth and the weight of vicera in rats. The male rats (55^´60gm) were used and divided into the control and experimental group of 8 rats each. The Sipjondaebo-Tang group injected every 2 days 2ml/lOOgm body weight (82.0mg of Sipjondaebo-Tand dry extract in 2ml of water) subcutaneously, and the saline group received the same amount of physiological saline as the same method. After begenning of the drug administration the body weight measured every 3 days, and then experimental 48th day the heart, lung, liver, kidney, adrenal gland, spleen, testis, and stomach were weighted with a Sauter balance.
Results obta_ned were as follows:
1. Sipjondaebo-Tang group significantly facilitated the growth from 6th day more than salin group. (P(0.05)
2. Sipjondaebo-Tang group gained in weight of lung, spleen, testis and stomach but only decreased kidney weight as compared with salin group.
