A Study on the Effect of the Moxibustion to the Serum Transaminase Active Bilirubin Content of the Carbon Tetrachloride Poisoned Rabbits

Abstract
In order to study the therapeutic effect of the moxibustion on the Jang-mun point (Liv. 13, the point which is located at the end of the 11th rib) to the Car-bon Tetrachloride poisoned rabbits, the content bilirubin, glutamic pyruvate transminase (G.P.T) activity and glutamic oxaloacetate transaminase (G.O.T) activity were measured and results were obtained as follows.
1. Serum direct bilirubin contents of the poisoned group increased extremely after 72 hours, and the control group was found as similar patterns except slightly decreased tendency.
It showed significant differences between Carbon tetrachloride poisoned group and cont--ol group after 120 hours and 168 hours.
2. In the case of the serum GPT, it also showed similarly changes as that of bilirubin and made significant statistical differences in the poisoned group after 48 hours, 72 hours and 168 hours.
3. Serum GOT changed like the serum GPT, the activity of the serum GOT was remarkablely decreased. And it showed valuable effects through 48 hours to 120 hours by the result of T-test with P<0. 05 _level.
