Influence of the Administration of Cervi Cornu on the Serum Protein Contents and the Prothrombin time in Rats

Abstract
|
|
|
In order to investigate into the protecting´activity and the curative effect of the Cervi Cornu the rats were induced the damage in liver by CCI4 after administered with the extract of the four kinds of Cervi Cornu and then examined the contents of serum albumin, the serum total proteins and the prothrombin time.
The results were as follows :
1. The contents of serum albumin in the administered rats with Cervi Cornu were decreased as compare with control group and also it is showed a significantly effect. (p<0.01).
2. The trial groups administered with the extract of each Cervi Cornu in case of
the total protein serum contents was less than in the control group. The
difference in average values is statistically significant for elk and red deer.
3. The prothrombin time reduced in trial group, especially formosa group was
highly significant.
4. The effect on the each Cervi Cornu was better elk than others.
