Yukmijihwang- Tang usually administered in many clinical cases as antihyperten - ive and arteriosclerosis remedies.
In present paper the effects of water condensed extracts of Yukmijihwang-Tang on the normal blood pressure of the rabbits and thiobarbituric acid(TBA) value of carbontetrachloride (CC1,) -induced rat liver homogenate were measured, The results of the experiements were as follows :
1. Being observed the effect of rat.
Liver TBA value of Yukmijihwang- Tang, TBA value of rat Liver homogenate increased by CC1, treatment orally, but its TBA value remarkedly by Yukmijihwang- Tang.
Oral administration the CC1, + Saline group as contrast with normal group have significantly increased.
CCI, + Sample group as contrast with CC!, + Saline group decreased.
The difference between the average values of CC1, + Saline group and CCI4 + Sample group of the result from t- test was shown high significance.
2. Yukmijihwang- tang water ex, was decreased normal blood pressure with doses ranging from 10 to 100mg/kg, i. v., exhibiting a liner does- relationship and revaled a temporal depression of blood pressure immediately after 10 mg/kg injection, but 50 to 100mg/kg of that was indicated a continual depression of blood pressure.
3. After vagotomy and atropin same dosages was injected and then showed a simiarilY results.
It was revealed significant effect.
Yukmijihwang- Tang was presented a continious depression of normal blood pressure of rabbits according to increasing doses.
