A Study of the Antipyretic, Diuretic, and Anticonvulsive Effects of Kamidojeoksan Used in the Febrile Disease of Pediatrics


Abstract
To observe the antipyretic action in rats by yeast method, the diuretic action by urea method and the antiponvulsive .action by ECT unit in mice the Kamidojeoksan was administered.
The next is the investigated results of this experiment.
1. In antipyretic action by yeast method, sample I group revealed the effect as decreasing after 1-2 hours and the next was sample II group as decreasing after 3-5 hours.
2. In diuretic action by urea method, sample I group revealed the effect as increasing after 1-4 hours.
3. In anticonvulsive action by ECT unit method, it showed a few effect in sample I group checked after 30 minutes, but there was no eft ^acy in sample II group and sample I, II groups checked after 1 hour.
In conclusion, it revealed a slightly efficacy.
