A Study on the Effect of Puljeong-san against Kidney Damage in HgCI₂, CCI₄-induced Rats

Abstract
|
|
|
In order to study the therapeutic effect of Paljeong-san against Kidney damage in HgCl2 + CCl4 induced rats, the activity of BUN and creatinine measured and obtained the results. The results were as follows:
1. BUN activity in the experimental group (extract) was decreased more than that in the control group.
2. In case of BUN activity in the experimental group (decoction) was diminished more than that in the control group. It showed highly significant value.
3. Creatinine activity in the experimental group (extract) was decreased more than that in the control group.
4. In case of creatinine activity in the experimental group (decoction) was diminished more than that in the control group. It revealed high significance.
5. In this report, the both were compared a medical decoction and extract were fully analyzed and result showed that the activity of the former is improved more than the activity of the latter.
