Studies on the Analgesic, Anti-inflammatory effect of Samgi-um and Samgi-um with Buthus

Abstract
|
|
|
Under recognition of the similarity between "Bi-Jeung" disease in oriental medicine and gout and arthritis and sciatica in western medicine.
Samgi- Jm or Samgi-Um with Buthus has been used as on the analgesic, anti-inflammatory effectiveness.
The results as summarized as follows:
1. In the experiment of analgesic effect in mice, having pain caused by acetic acid,. the effectiveness of Samgi-Um with Buthus is better than that of Samgi-Um, and according to the increase of dose, the effectiveness of the drug is more high. The excellent analgesic effectiveness is recognized in all groups.
2. In the experiment of anti-inflammatory effect in rats, having edema caused by carageenin and acetic acid, the difference of the effectiveness between Samgi-Um and Samgi-Um with Buthus is not vivid, but when dose is increased, there is somewhat difference, and from 30 minutes till 240 minutes the effectiveness is mostly come out.
3. As a result of the above experiment, Samgi-Um and Samgi-Um with Buthus is deducted for the effectiveness treatment of the arthritis, neuralgia, etc.
