Bibliographical Studies on the Length of Meridians and their Energy Circulation in the Human Body

Abstract
The length of meridians and the energy circulation by respiration through the 28 meridians shown in the literature, Nae Gyeong Yeong Chu, were practically me, sured by calculating the length between the points and velocity of energy circulation was also reviewed.
The following results have been obtained.
1. The practical length of the Eum Gyo Maeg was the same as the length appeared in the literature.
2. The practical lengths of Su Tae Eum Pye Gyeong, Jog Tae Eum Bi Gyeong, Su Tae Yang So Jang Gyeong, Jog Yang Myeong Wi Gyeong, Jog Tae Yang Bang Gwang Gyeong, Jog So Yang Dam Gyeong, Dog Maeg Gyeong, and Yang Gyo Maeg were longer than the length in the literature and the practical length of Jog Tae Yang Bang Gwang Gyeong showed longer by 7 chuk 2 chon 5 pun 8 ri.
3. The practical lengths of Su So Eum Sim Gyeong, Su Gweol Eum Sim Po Gyeong, Jog So Eum Sin Gyeong, Jog Gweol Eum Gan Gyeong, Su Yang Myeong Dae Jang Gyeong, Su So Yang Sam Cho Gyeong, and Im Maeg Gyeong were shorter in length than that of the Literature and the practical length of Jog Gweol Eum Gan Gyeong was longer by 1 chuk 3 chon.
4. By the energy flowing into the Yang Gyo Maeg in male was faster thi, the Eum Gyo Maeg in female, the velocity of energy circulation through inspiration and expiration was different in sex.
5. The velocity of energy circulation by inspiration and expiration was faster than the result of literature in both sexes.
By above results, it is considered that further studies should be followed on the practical length of meridians which were shown differently from the lengths in the literature.
