Studies on the Effect of Sipimikwanjung-Tang against Liver Damage in TAA induced Albino-Rat

Abstract
The result on treatmental activity of the Sipimikwanjung-Tang (Sample I) and Sipimikwanjung-Tang with Pteropi Stercus (Sample II), aqueous condensed solution against thioacetamide (TAA) induced liver damage in the rat are described.
According to the experimental time (24, 48, 72, 96 hours), the samples were found to display the high level of remedical activity producing significant lowering of serum glutamic oxaloacetic transminase (GOT), serum glutamic pyruvic transaminase (GPT), lactic dehydrogenase (LDH), alkaline phosphatase (AlP) and leucineamino petidase (LAP).
1. The GPT activity in TAApoisoned rat was decreased after 48 hours. It was observed significantly in the statistical view point.
2. All of the trial groups showed the tendency of a remarkable decrease than the
control group and revealed a significance in GOT activity after 72 hours.
3. A similar result was obtained in the poisoned rat by TAA injection in case of
AIP activity. Sample I was observed highly significant value after 72 hours,
Sample II was significant value after 72 hours. Sample II was significant after
48 hours.
4. In case of LDH activity of the experimental groups compared with the control group, showed the tendency of the considerable decrease and revealed statistical value after 48 hours.
5. In case of LAP activity of the experimental groups compared with the control group.showed the tendency of the decrease after 48 hours.
6. As compare with both Sipimikwanjung-Tang and Sipimikwanjung-Tang with Pteropi Stercus, generally the latter was highly significant.
7. According ¢¥to the above results, we consider that Sipimikwanjung-Tang and Sipimikwanjung-Tang with Pteropi Stercus have the curative effects for the liver disease.
