Abstract
One of the study of therapeutic effect by oriental medicine in experimental research, for observing the effects on the analgesic action, anti-convulsive action, sedative action, anti-inflammatory action and effects to the extracted ileum. Chungsanggyuntong-Tang extract was administered to the experimental animals. So that I obtained the results as follows.
1) In the sample I group, anti-strychnine, anti-picrotoxin and anti-caffeine effects were recognized. Sample II gi .;up, anti-picrotoxin effects was only recognized.
2) In the experiment of acetic acid method, analgesic effect was noted 40.8% in Sample I group and 37.4% in Sample II group. And in the study of a pressure pain threshold study, the analgesic effect were increased by the more extracts density.
3) In Sample I, Sample II, and Sample III, a prominent prolongation of anesthetic time was observed.
4) By the wheel cage method experiment, in Sample I group, loss of spontaneous motor activity was appeared from 60 minutes to 120 minutes later and in the .Sample II group, loss of spontaneous motor activity was appeared 60 minutes later and therefore anti-convulsive effect and anti-sedative effect were recognized.
5) In anti-inflammatory effects, antiedema induce effect were significant in Sample I group, but less than aspirin administered group.
6) Relaxant effect was appeared in the extracted ileum. And the anti-contraction
effect was increased by the more Chungsanggyuntong-Tang extract densities in the contract of the extract ileum by acetylcholine and Bad2 and it takes a blocker effect to the visceral smooth muscles.
