Studies on the Analgesic Effect of Aqua-acupuncture with Angelicae Radix Extract Solution to Mice

Abstract
In order to study the effect of aqua-acupuncture with Anglicae Radix extract solution on the pain induced by acetic acid in isotonic saline solution, the aqua-acupuncture was inserted into the corresponding loci of the Geo.Gweol (CV14), Hwan-Jo (G3 o), Sin-Su(B23) and a Blank locus (non-acupuncture locus at the root of the tail of mouse).
Analgesic effect of aqua-acupuncture was studied by counting the numbers of
The following results have been obtained.
writhing syndrome in mk 1) 0.9% saline solution injected group obtained analgesic effect without significant

value.
2) Aqua-acupuncture post-treated group obtained a significant analgesic effect, while aqua-acupuncture pre-treated group was not shown any significant value.
3) The optimal concentration of Angelicae Radix extract solution to obtain a significant analgesic effect was 10% and 50%.
4) The most remarkable writhing syndrome were noticed from 10 to 30 minutes after injection with acetic acid in isotonic saline solution and the significant effect of aqua-acupuncture with Angelicae Radix extract solution was observed at this duration.
5) It made a different degree of analgesic effect by applying various acupuncture
loch The aqua-acupuncture at the loci of Geo-Gweol(CV14), Hwan-Jo(G30), Sin-Su(B23) and Blank Locus(BL) showed the analgesic effect in that order and the loci of Geo-Gweol(CV14), Hwan.-Jo(G3 0) and Sin-Su(B2 3) were most effective, while the Blank locus(BL) did not show any significant value.
According to the above results, it is concluded that aqua-acupuncture with Angelicae Radix extract solution at the loci of Geo-Gweol(CV14), Hwan-Jo (G30) and Sin-Su(B2 3) showed the significant analgesic effect,
