The Effect of Cheonginigeuk-Tang for Tonsillitis Studied on the Antipyretic, Analgesic and Anti-Inflammatory Action on the Rats and Mice

Abstract
This study was planned to observe the effects of solid extract (sample I) and mixture of each solid extract (sample II) of Cheoniginigeuk - Tang on the antipyretic action in rats by yeast method, the analgesic effect on mouse through method of acetic acid and anti-inflammatory effect on paw of the rat which has become edema formation by 1% carrageenine solution.
The results were as follows.
1) In antipyretic action, the group which was administered by sample I was showed significantly statistical value during 19 - 22 hours and the ¢¥group which was administered by sample II was showed statistical value only after 19 and 20 hours.
2) In analgesic effect, sample I and sample II have effective analgesic function, while sample I is more effective than sample II. It has been found that the t-test of those above prescriptions should come to the result of voluntariness p < 0.001.
3) With sample I prescribed for rat, the increasing and inhibitory rate of edema formation on rat showed significantly statistical value, and the anti-inflammatory effect of sample II is not supported so long than sample I.
4) According to the above results, sample I and sample II are assumed to have antipyretic, analgesic and anti-inflammatory effects and it seems to be that sample I is more effective that sample II.
