Experimental Study of the Effects of So Jong-Tang Kamibang on the Antipyretic, Analgesic and Anti-Inflammatory Action


Abstract
A study was planned to observe the effects of Sojong-Tang Kamibang on anti-pyretic, analgesic and anti-inflammatory action by experimental method.
The Sojong-Tang Kamibang was made by adding Hagocho to Sojong-Tang used "Madochang" disease in oriental medicine, which was recognized inflammation by research of oriental medical literature.
The comparison among the sample I group given solid extract, the sample II group given mixture c` each solid extract and control group of rats or mice by yeast method, acetic method and carrageenine method made the results as follows;
1) In the antipyretic action by yeast method, sample I group showed significance with continuance and sample II group showed excellent significance after one hour but not continually.
2) In the analgesic ation by acetic method, all the sample group showed significance but sample I group had higher one than sample II group.
3) In the anti-inflammatory effect on the formation of paw edema by Carrageenine, sample I group showed significance on anti-edematous effect but sample II group didn¢¥t showed.
4) Sample I group given solid extract showed excellent effects than sample II group given mixture of each solid extract on analgesic and anti-inflammatory action.
