An Experimental Study on the Effect of Socheongryongtang on Analgesia, Anticonvulsion and O₃Poisoned Lung in Rat and Mice

Abstract
|
|
|
An Experimental study was done to evaluate the clinical effect of Socheongryongtang on Cough and asthma by detecting analgesic and Anticonvulsive action in mice and by detecting the effect against 03 poisoned rat lung.
Results were as follows:
1) In comparison with control group, the solid extract of Socheongryong and the mixture of each solid extract of Socheongryongtang, both revealed highly significant effect on the pain induced by acetic acid.
2) On the convulsion induced by E C T unit, the solid extract of Socheongryongtang and the mixture of each solid extract of Socheongryongtang revealed alike significant effect, compared with control group.
3) In a study of the effect on rat lung T B A value, the solid extract of Socheongryongtang and the mixture of each solid extract of Socheongryongtang both revealed significance, compared with control group.
4) The solid extract of Socheongryongtang revealed significance on the effect on K+ (potassium ion) value, compared with control group, but the mixture of each solid, extract of Socheongryongtang was less effective than the solid extract of it.
5) In case of Na+ (Sodium ion) value, both experimental groups revealed no signifi-
cance compared with control group.
As is shown above, it is suggested that the solid extract of Socheongryongtang retains same analgesic and anticonvulsive action compared with the mixture of each solid extract of Socheongryongtang and the former seems more effective than the latter against 03 poisoned rat lung.
