Comparison of the Efficancy of Kalopanaxii Cortex and Erythrinae Cortex on the Analgesis, Anticonvulsion and Antipyretics

Abstract

|
In order to study the different effects between Erythrinae Cortex and Kalopanaxii Cortex, and indicate the correct using of Hae Dong Pi which are Erythrinae Cortex and Kalopanaxii Cortex.
This experimental study was conducted to compare the analgesic, anticonvulsive and antipyretic actions.
The results obtained in this work were summerized as follow:
1) Both Erythrinae Cortex and Kalopanaxii Cortex showed analgesic effects but Erythrinae Cortex showed more high significant analgesic than Kalopanaxii Cortex.
2) Erythrinae Cortex showed anticonvulsive effect against convulsion induced by Strychnine and picrotoxin but Kalopanaxii Cortex did not show that.
3) Erythrinae Cortex also showed markedly antipyretic effect but Kalopanaxii Cortex did not show that.
As results, I think that we may use Erythrinae Cortex for the purpose of the analgesic, anticonvulsive and antipyretic effects.
