Abstract
In order to study the effect of Acupuncture stimulation and Dansam EX. on the blood pressure and serum in spontaneous hypertensive rats (S.H.R), the amount of total cholesterol, phospholipid, triglyceride, the activity of alkaline phosphate in serum, Blood pressure in S.H.R. and the diuretic action in normotensive mice were measured.
The results were obtained as follows:
1) The Blood Pressure in S.H.R. was significantly lowered than the control group.
2) The urine volume of mice was significantly increased in case of sample III group. Sample III group proved effective in measuring diuretic blood pressure.
3) The effect of acupuncture stimulation on the amount of serum total cholesterol in S.H.R. were recognized around 48 hours after acupuncture stimulation and it increased again after 48 hours.
4) The effect of acupuncture stimulation on the amount of serum phospholipid in S.H.R. were the most declined around 48 hours after acupuncture stimulation, and little declined in other stage.
5) The effect of acupuncture stimulation on the amount of serum triglyceride in S.H.R. were more declined as passing time, and the most significant around 96 hours after acupuncture stimulation.
6) The effect of acupuncture stimulation on the serum alkaline-phosphate activity were no significant in general.
