Effects of Heounggaeyeoungyotang and Kamiheounggaeyeoungyotang on the Analgesic, Antipyretic and Antiinflammatory action


Abstract
In order to investigate experimental effects of Heounggaeyeoungyotang and Kamiheounggaeyeoungyotang that have been widely used in the Nong Lee (otitismedia), experimental studies with rats and mice were carried out. The results of the studies were summerized as follows.
1. Antipyrenic action by yeast method, in comparison with contrast group, was showed significant effects from after 2 hrs to after 4 hrs in all herb-medicine group and solid extract of Heounggaeyeoungyotang in comparison with other group was showed more significant effect.
2. Analgesic action by acetic acid method was showed more significant effect at all herbmedicine group.
3. Analgesic action by Randall-Selito method was showed significant effect at all herb-medicine group, and solid extracts of Heounggaeyeoungyotang and Kamiheounggaeyeoungyotang were showed more significant effect than Mixture of each solid extracts of Heounggaeyeoungyotang and Kamiheounggaeyeoungyotang at after 60 min and 120.
4. Antiinflammatory action by Carrageenine edema method was showed continuent significant effect in all herb-medicine group, especially from after 60 min to after 120 min.
5. Antiinflammatory action by Dextrane edema method was showed significant effect from after 60 min to after 180 min in all herb-medicine group, especially solid extract of Kamiheounggaeyeoungyotang was showed prominent significant effect at after 120 min.
6. Solid extract group was showed significant effect actions on antipyrenic, analgesic and antiinflammatory.
7. Solid extract of Kamiheounggaeyeoungyotang was showed significant effect on antiinflammatory action.
