An Experimental Study on the KoAmSimWhan to the Noise Stress

Abstract

|
When the environmental conditions are changed drastically, the regulatory mechanisms begin to operate to .maintain the physiological homeostasis.As a result. various biological responses such as metabolic changes due to the endocrinological reactions can be observed.
Auther tried to investigate the influence of the stress of 90-95 dB noise by administration of KoAmSimSinWhan, which is known as a mental sedative herb medicine. Rat urine catecholamine content were analyzed by HPLC and got the following results:
1. By giving 90-95 dB noise exposure, only norepinephrine was detected in rat urine.
2. The peak area of the control rat urine was 146424 and in drug administered group the peak area was 4446.
3. Comparing these two peak area, it is clear that KoAmSimSinWhan has good effect to noise stress.
