Effects of sunyuryangtang, Jageumjung, and Kamdootang on the rabbits intoxicated by HgCI©ü, damaged in kidney and liver

Abstract
In order to study the effect of mitigation or neutralization in mercury-intoxicity by Sunyuryang -tang, clearing intoxicity by overusing dotes of mercury compounds, Jageumjung and Kamdootang, both known as detoxicant, rabbits were intoxicated by HgC1 oraly, various blood serum contents, electroxlytes and enzyme activity change were measured with prescribing each of above ones.
1. The blood urea nitrogen level in the serum of control group of rabbits intoxicated by HgC12, but not given any other antidotes, was increased. The levels of all sample groups given antidotes were decreasde with significance.
2. The creatinine level in the serum of control group was increased, and the levels of all sample groups were decreased significantly.
3. The total protein and albumin level in the serum of comtrol group and normal group were not changed. In the same result, any signifecance was not shown in sample groups.
4. In study of electrolytes change, sodium ion level in the serum of control 1roup were slightly increased, but all the sample groups were apt to decrease.
However sample B group and sample C group were shown statistic significance.
On the other hand, potassium ion and chloride ion levels in the serum of sample groups were not shown significance.
5. In blood serum GOT and GPT, they were increased in all of control groups but decreased significantly in all of sample groups.
6. Alp activity level was shown significance in sample C group.
7. As a results, Sunyuryangtang, Jageumjung, and Kamdootang are thought to have effectiveness of mitigation or neutralization on mercury-intoxicity, and by comparing with statistic significance, Kamdootang is thought to have the best effectiveness.
